I didn't get the chance to talk to him or find out officially, but from what I gathered, his Black Mage outfit is a graduation gown, with a big gold pointy hat. He also has an executioner's mask to go with it (excuse the absense but it was hot).
His weapon, the staff with the funky black ball at the end, was bought at a staff store before we left the renaisance faire.
His abilities were learned out of default, and at the Strong Man contest where he ranked equivalant to "King Richard the Lionhearted." He even beat our borrowed Knight!
