Long long ago, there was a man who loved nature. He loved nature so much, he became a geomancer and spent his whole life studying the forest. One day, in his travels, He saw two snakes get into a quarrel and the one snake poisoned the other. The wounded snake lay there, almost dead, until a third snake, its lover, found him and began to sway wildly left to right. The third snake quickly left the scene, but just as quiclky, returned with a loarg berry in its mouth. She dropped the berry in front of its hurting partner and waited. The Poisoned snake ate the berry and lay still for a few minutes. After a while, the wounded snake became lively and left with his lover who had saved him.
The Geomancer then discovered medicine. He took this knowledge and began to heal humans with potionsand medicines. And soon, this turned into a science and the man developed Surgery.
The man became the first doctor, and began to save lives all over the world. He was given the name Serpentarius, the Snake Man.
It was a joyous time for mankind. However, Serpentarius didn't stop learning new surgeries and medicines. He soon learned a surgery that could bring back the dead.
After several successful surgeries, the "Life Procedure" angered Lucavi, who ruled the underworld. If you could bring back the dead, he could lose his kingdom. So he told his brother, Strago, the god of magic, that there was a human defying the ways of White Magic with surgery. This prompted Strago to strike Serpentarius dead on the spot.
After his death the Earth began to mourn and demanded retribution because Serpentarius was considered its brother. If there was no justice for Serpentarius's death, The Earth threatened to kill all the Humans.
At this Strago was cornered because without life, there is no magic. So Strago concocted a spell which put Serpentarius in the stars with a snake in his hands. However, in his haste, he put Serpentarius in the Zodiac and created a Zodiac Stone which threw off the even balance of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water.
This is how natural disasters began without the help of the gods.
Now, years later, the elements are beginning to break and fate will choose 13 warriors, to fix the problem, created so long ago..
